Your First 30 Minutes: From Signup to First Programme Assigned

You've just signed up. You're looking at the dashboard. There's a checklist. And you're probably thinking: "Right, where do I even start?"

I get it. Every coach I've helped onboard has had the same thought. You've got clients to train, programmes to write, and the last thing you want is to spend hours setting up another tool.

Here's the good news: you don't need hours. You need 30 minutes. And by the end of it, you'll have a real programme assigned to a real person — and you'll see exactly how this works.

Let's go.

## Step 1: Create a Programme from a Template (5 minutes)

You don't need to build anything from scratch yet. We've got programme templates ready to go — strength blocks, hypertrophy phases, general fitness plans.

From your dashboard, click **Create Program** and choose **Start from Template**. Pick one that's close to what you'd actually give a client. Give it a name. Done.

You now have a full programme with workouts, exercises, sets, and reps — all editable. You can tweak it later. For now, you just need something real to work with.

**Why this matters:** Most coaches stall here because they want to build the perfect programme first. Don't. Use a template. You can customise everything later once you've seen how the platform works end to end.

## Step 2: Add Your First Client (5 minutes)

Click **Add Client** from the dashboard. Type in an email address and a name.

Here's my suggestion for right now: **add yourself**. Use your personal email. Accept the invitation. See what the experience looks like from your client's side.

This is the single most useful thing you can do in your first session. When you see the client view — the programme laid out, the workout logging, the progress tracking — you'll immediately understand what your clients will see. And you'll have real opinions about how to set things up.

**Why this matters:** Coaches who see the client experience first are far more confident bringing real clients on. It takes the mystery out of it.

## Step 3: Assign the Programme (2 minutes)

Go to your programme, click **Assign**, and assign it to the client you just added (yourself).

That's it. Three steps. You've got a programme assigned to a client.

Now go check your email — accept the client invitation, log in as the client, and have a look around. Log a workout. See what the coach dashboard shows you afterwards.

## What You Don't Need to Do Right Now

- You don't need to add your branding (you can do that later)
- You don't need to import all your clients (we'll get to that)
- You don't need to build custom exercises (there's a full library already)
- You don't need to set up payments or teams

All of that is there when you need it. Right now, you just need to see the platform working with real data. You've done that.

## What's Next

In the next post, I'll walk you through how to pick your first 3 real clients to bring onto the platform — and why you shouldn't try to move everyone at once.
